Key Responsibilities

📜 Compliance & Governance

• 📑 Monitor the attainment of transformational commitments as per the Social Labour Plan (SLP) and Mining Charter.

• 🏛 Promote employment and improve the social and economic welfare of local communities through SLP programmes, Mining Charter targets, and DTI codes.

• 📂 Maintain a robust Portfolio of Evidence for all SLP, Mining Charter, and DTI code activities.

• 📅 Ensure timely submission of reports and advise management on necessary project implementations.

• 📊 Manage budgets for all SLP elements and align projects with B-BBEE requirements to avoid duplicate expenditure.

• 📋 Prepare and report on Generic Entity BEE interim plans per financial year.

• ✅ Oversee B-BBEE compliance and prepare for audits.

• 🛒 Advise on procurement schedules to align with commitments and DTI codes.

• 🏢 Ensure contractors comply with the Mining Charter and Department of Labour requirements.

📈 Project Management & Implementation

• 🛠 Manage and implement Local Economic Development (LED) and Socioeconomic Development (SED) projects.

• 🤝 Facilitate Enterprise & Supplier Development (E&SD) initiatives.

• 🧑‍🏫 Implement learnerships, bursaries, apprenticeships, and employee development plans.

• 📅 Coordinate on- and off-mine SLP forums, Future Forum, and related committees.

• 📨 Develop and execute effective communication and facilitation strategies.

• 🎯 Register and apply for grants with relevant SETAs, ensuring delivery against targets.

👫 Stakeholder Engagement

• 📢 Engage with internal stakeholders (employees, unions) and external stakeholders (communities, political structures, municipalities, DMRE, and other parties).

• 🗣 Represent and update stakeholders on Mining Charter, SLP, and DTI code commitments.

• 🏛 Liaise with municipalities regarding Integrated Development Plans (IDP), LED strategies, and local initiatives.

• 📥 Receive and assess requests from community structures, local businesses, and schools.

• 👩‍🏭 Facilitate Women in Mining initiatives, including collaboration with contractors.

• 🌍 Manage and protect the company’s reputation with both internal and external stakeholders.
